Remove the old fabric and foam from the piece of furniture you want to upholster using a screwdriver.
Measure the piece of furniture and cut the foam to size using scissors.
Lay the foam on top of the new upholstery fabric and cut the fabric to size, leaving about 2-3 inches of extra fabric on each side.
Place the foam back on the piece of furniture and wrap the fabric around the foam, making sure it is taut and smooth.
Use the staple gun to staple the fabric to the bottom of the piece of furniture, starting in the middle and working your way outwards. Make sure to pull the fabric taut as you staple it.
Fold the corners neatly and staple them down.
If needed, use upholstery needles and thread to hand-stitch any areas that the staple gun cannot reach, such as the corners or edges.
Trim any excess fabric with scissors.
